Supply Chain Department Responsibilities
- Develop an annual purchase plan based on the sales plan and maintain specific quantities of materials to ensure that the production process is not disrupted.
- Evaluate the re-ordering point for materials and make suggestions to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of the supply process to increase the company's profit.
- Establish procedures to increase the efficiency of the supply and supply process so that quality and safety are ensured and procedures are updated continuously.
- Choosing the optimal means of transportation and shipping taking into account the capacity of warehouses and the way inventory is distributed in them.
- Assess the need for equipment and workers and make recommendations to ensure efficiency in loading, unloading, transportation and storage of materials.
Follow-up the purchasing process for raw materials, packaging, laboratory materials, materials for the engineering department in addition to other consumables; by communicating with suppliers to solicit quotations and negotiating the prices of raw materials and the cost of shipping and transportation with suppliers, merchants and shipping companies, and choosing the appropriate supplier according to quality, price and supply period
